Summer time Snook Fishing is one of my favorite species to target along the beaches of Saint Petersburg. These fish are in their summer spawning cycle for the next few months and offer some great action on light tackle. We have been catching them on live baits in the passes and along the beaches of Tampa Bay. Snook are closed season right now so make sure to release them unharmed. We have also been chasing Tarpon up and down the beaches in the early morning. They have been eating: Pinfish, Crabs, Theadfin Hearing and Scaled Sardines under corks. Look for them to head offshore on the full moon this week to spawn then migrating up into Tampa Bay.
