Winter time fishing in the Tampa Bay area is in full swing with water temperatures dropping quickly. The fish are moving into their winter homes for the next two months. There is still some bait around the flats and bay area bridges. Recently, on our inshore trips, we have been targeting trout and redfish catching great numbers in Tampa Bay. The weather this time of year can be a little challenging to make it offshore, but if you can find a weather window, it can be very rewarding. Red grouper and Amberjack are providing great action to those who can make it out offshore in depths from 65-120 feet of water.
